Job summary

MAXIMUS is seeking a senior health services manager to lead performance, quality, and governance across a West Midlands health contract portfolio. You will drive KPIs, quality standards, and financial targets while building strong relationships with commissioners, authorities and provider partners.

You will recruit and develop multidisciplinary teams, monitor SLAs, and ensure compliant information governance.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant field of Health Promotion, Public Health, Health & Social Policy, Social Sciences, or Community Development
• At least 3 years in health or social care related post
• Demonstrable management, leadership and mentoring within a similar role/environment
• Experience of working effectively with a range of stakeholders, with a confident ability to build successful relationships
• Evidence of effective delivery of programmes in line with contractual requirements and service level agreements
• Experience and confident in financial management, able to scrutinise budgets and support / inform P&L reports
• Familiar with business and service risk analysis, experienced in mitigating challenges faced
• Recruiting and developing multi-disciplinary teams
• Practised in writing reports, procedures, policies, popular communications for wider circulation
• Devising, implementing, and analysing performance measures for services
• Experience of delivering service improvements

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and deliver performance, quality, compliance and financial targets across a portfolio of health contracts
• Create and establish strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners
• Embed quality, process and procedures with robust governance and information management
• Recruit and develop teams, drive learning, PDPs and annual appraisals
• Oversee Clinical Governance / Audit activities and portfolio evaluation
• Engage with commissioners, local authorities and providers to drive service improvements and contract growth
• Deliver monitoring meetings with external providers and partners to review performance
• Ensure regular face-to-face meetings with key stakeholders to strengthen partnerships and outcomes
