Job summary

United Health Centers of the San Joaquin Valley is seeking a Health Center Supervisor to oversee daily operations and staff at the health center, reporting to the Health Center Manager. The role emphasizes customer service, quality care, and cost efficiency within Front Office and Back Office areas.

Responsibilities include optimizing patient flow, scheduling, staff performance coaching, and participation in recruiting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff adherence to customer service standards and quality of work.
• Proactively manages provider appointment schedules to ensure templates are correctly applied and appointments are scheduled appropriately.
• Maintain patient flow in clinic to support agency productivity standards and goals.
• Manage patient flow in real time to ensure patients are checked in and registered in a timely manner.
• Work with Health Center Manager to monitor and evaluate staff performance and recommend promotions and disciplinary actions.
• Provide coaching, training, counseling and staff development with Health Center Manager.
• Participate in the interview process and selection of new personnel for Front Office and Back Office positions.
• Plan and evaluate working assignments to ensure adequate coverage for quality care.
• Forward notifications of site audits/visits and coordinate readiness between clinical and operations.
• Maintain direct communication with Health Center Manager and provide updates on issues and improvements.
