Job summary

The Supervisory Program Analyst (SPA) position is in the Office of Medicine Service at the Oklahoma City VA Health Care System, coordinating and planning delivery of health care services.

Reports to Medicine Business Manager, supervises 2-4 Program Support Assistants, and oversees Internal Medicine Hospitalist and Infectious Disease sections, with responsibilities spanning program design, budget, and HR matters. Telework eligibility may apply; standard schedule is Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm.

Qualifications

• Foreign education requires a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency for credit.
• Only education or degrees recognized by the U.S. Department of Education may be used to qualify for Federal employment.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of 2-4 GS-7 Program Support Assistants and administrative oversight for Internal Medicine Hospitalist and Infectious Disease sections.
• Design, implement, modify, and maintain quality and risk management programs within Medicine Service.
• Advise management on budget projections, staffing requests, and classification of positions and functional statements.
• Resolve issues involving Human Resources, EEO, Privacy, Police, and labor relations for the Section Chiefs and staff.
