Job summary

Aon is seeking a Health Analytics Senior Consultant / Senior Data Analyst to analyze healthcare data, build dashboards, and streamline analytics across medical, pharmacy, dental and vision claims. You will collaborate with Analytics, Engineering, Business and Actuarial teams to deliver accurate, scalable insights.

The role emphasizes translating data into actionable findings, leveraging SQL, Excel, Power BI or Tableau, and responsibly applying AI tools with proper validation.

Qualifications

• Three to seven years of hands-on experience working closely with healthcare data across medical, pharmacy, dental or vision claims, including identifying payment errors, benefit misapplication, and eligibility issues.
• Working knowledge of claims coding and adjudication including CPT/HCPCS, ICD-10, revenue codes, modifiers, and NDCs for pharmacy.
• Proficiency in SQL and Excel, and working knowledge of BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau; Python, Databricks, and cloud experience are a plus.
• Experience streamlining or automating routine analytics and reporting tasks to improve consistency and efficiency.
• Ability to leverage agentic AI and other AI tools responsibly to build and improve analytics workflows.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large and complex healthcare datasets across medical, pharmacy, dental and vision claims to support analytics and audits.
• Lead and support healthcare claims audits, identify payment errors and eligibility issues.
• Develop reporting, dashboards, and data visualizations using SQL, Excel, Power BI or Tableau.
• Automate routine analytics tasks using macros, templates, and workflow tools to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with Analytics, Engineering, Business and Actuarial teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
