Job summary

Aon is seeking a senior actuarial consultant in Boston, MA to lead strategy and healthcare actuarial engagements for major clients. You will design benefit strategies, pricing, budgeting, and bid projects, while mentoring team members and coordinating with the client teams.

The role requires an ASA designation (or close), 4+ years in health care, project and people management experience, and a Bachelor's degree. Remote work not specified; base location Boston preferred.

Qualifications

• ASA designation is preferred (or close).
• 4+ years of health care industry experience (carrier or consulting).
• Project management experience required.
• People management/mentoring experience expected.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform strategy and actuarial consulting, including benefit strategy, benchmarking, plan design, pricing strategy, and budgeting.
• Provide actuarial client leadership focusing on client outcomes and mentoring team members.
• Lead actuarial work on client teams with sign-off on results and coordination with broader teams.
• Explain actuarial methodology and results to clients and participate in strategic client discussions.
• Contribute to practice improvements through model development and initiatives.
