Job summary

Ohio Head Start Association, Inc. is hiring a Teacher for Part Year in Piqua, OH. The role supports planning and delivering Head Start activities for preschool children to prepare them for kindergarten.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with a CDA or equivalent is required.
• CDA or enrollment in a paid, CORS-approved CDA program must be completed within two years.
• Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Early Childhood Service Coordinator, Head Teacher, Family Advocate and families to plan and implement Head Start activities.
• Work with children and parents in the classroom and daily routines, including learning environments and materials.
• Ensure child safety with supervision and a healthy, sanitary learning space.
• Assist in developmental screenings and family engagement activities throughout the program year.
• Complete home visits and parent/teacher conferences when requested by supervisor; participate in professional development.

Education
