Job summary

Council-On-Rural-Service-Programs in Piqua, OH seeks a full-time/part-year Teacher to implement the Head Start educational program for preschool children, collaborating closely with the Head Teacher, Family Advocate, and families to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond.

Responsibilities include creating a safe, engaging learning environment, planning daily activities, and supporting family involvement. Candidates must pass background checks; CDA track opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with a CDA or equivalent, or enrollment in CDA program with completion within two years.
• Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Must pass background check, drug test, and physical.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement the Head Start educational program for preschool children.
• Collaborate with the Head Teacher, Family Advocate, and families in classroom operations.
• Prepare learning environments, gather materials, and supervise routines.
• Promote safety, health, and organization in the learning space.
• Support family engagement, child development screenings, and conferences.
