A high school diploma or GED with a CDA, or enrollment in a CDA program, is required, with an Associate’s degree preferred. Roles include classroom support and family engagement activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with a CDA or equivalent, or enrollment in a CDA program with completion within two years.
• Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Early Childhood Service Coordinator, Head Teacher, Family Advocate, and families to plan and implement the Head Start program for preschool children.
• Assist in daily operations in the center classroom with children and parents; prepare the learning environment and materials; manage daily routine and activities.
• Ensure child safety with proper supervision and a safe, healthy, and organized environment.
• Support developmentally appropriate activities promoting children's interests and skill-building across domains.
• Assist in developmental screenings and participate in family engagement activities; may include home visits and parent-teacher conferences when requested.

Education
