Job summary

Maryland Rural Development Corporation (MRDC) invites applications for a Head Start Teacher. The role focuses on developing and implementing individualized education plans to support social, cognitive, physical, and emotional development in preschoolers (ages 3-5).

You will collaborate closely with the Site Supervisor and MRDC team to ensure program quality. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, and prior classroom experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Background check in MD and surrounding states.
• At least one year of early childhood classroom teaching experience preferred.
• Experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for preschool children.
• Collaborate with Site Supervisor and MRDC team.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom.
• Supervise children and implement positive behavior management.
• Attend training sessions and staff meetings.
• Complete portfolios and developmental assessments.
