Job summary

United Community Action Partnership, Inc. in Redwood Falls, MN is seeking a Head Start Classroom Support to work alongside the Head Start Teacher. You will help spark curiosity, build independence, and support parents in advocating for their children.

The role involves helping in the kitchen, maintaining records, leading health activities, stepping in as backup for the teacher, and performing light janitorial duties. It is a full-time 30 hours/week, 9-month union position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to certify.
• Food Safety certification or willingness to certify within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Start Teacher in classroom as needed.
• Help with food prep and cleanup.
• Maintain accurate recordkeeping.
• Lead health and nutrition activities to promote healthy choices.
• Step in for the Head Start Teacher as backup.
• Assist with light janitorial duties as needed.
• Support recruitment and enrollment efforts for Head Start.
• Ensure a safe environment for all participants.
