Job summary

United Community Action Partnership, Inc. in Willmar, MN is seeking an on-site Head Start program assistant for a full-time, 30-hour-per-week role. The position supports kitchen operations, health activities, and serves as a backup for the Head Start Teacher.

You will help with food prep, accurate recordkeeping, safety, recruitment, and light cleaning while gaining hands-on experience in child development within a community-focused program.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma/GED and/or relevant experience.
• CPR and First Aid Certification - or ready to get certified.
• Food Safety Certification - or the willingness to get certified within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the kitchen with food prep and cleanup, keeping things organized.
• Maintain accurate records and help with daily documentation.
• Incorporate health and nutrition activities to encourage healthy choices.
• Support Head Start Teacher as needed.
• Help with light janitorial duties as required.
• Aid recruitment and enrollment efforts to promote Head Start.
• Ensure safety of participants at all times.
