Job summary

United Community Action Partnership, Inc. in Jackson, MN, seeks a Head Start Classroom Support to work alongside our Head Start Teacher, sparking curiosity, building independence, and inspiring young learners while supporting parents.

Responsibilities include kitchen prep, recordkeeping, health/nutrition activities, light janitorial duties, program recruitment, and safety supervision during transportation to and from the center.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma/GED and/or relevant experience.
• CPR and First Aid Certification - or ready to get certified.
• Food Safety Certification - or willingness to get certified within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Team up in the Kitchen: Help with food prep and cleanup - keeping things organized and tidy.
• Stay organized: Keep everything running smoothly with accurate and up-to-date recordkeeping.
• Add a healthy twist: Bring energy and creativity to health and nutrition activities that inspire kids to make healthier choices.
• Pitch in: Help out with light janitorial duties when necessary - teamwork makes the dream work.
• Promote the program: Support recruitment and enrollment efforts to spread the word about Head Start.
• Prioritize safety: Monitor children on the Head Start bus and help maintain a safe environment during transportation to and from the center.
