Save the Children is seeking a Center Director/Lead Teacher to oversee daily operations of a Head Start/Early Head Start center. You will supervise staff, ensure compliance with Head Start standards, coordinate with families, and manage center activities across multiple classrooms.

The role requires strong leadership, program management, and collaboration with supervisors and community partners to ensure high-quality education and safety for children.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood development or related field.
• Proven ability to communicate and collaborate with individuals and teams at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise staff and operations.

Aufgaben

• Hire and coach staff; facilitate resolution of conflicts; encourage and support professional development opportunities; develop and monitor center and staff schedules.
• Oversee staff in budgets, head start standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct regular staff meetings, arrange staff training, set job standards/goals and monitor performance.
• Coordinate with center staff and managers to plan pre-service and ongoing in-service trainings for cooks, teachers, and aides.
• Track and monitor staff attendance and timesheets.
• Plan family events and parent meetings; support Family Nights and Parent Committee meetings.
• Ensure safety and licensing compliance; monitor data entry in systems; manage center supplies and equipment.
