Save the Children is seeking a Head Start Teacher to lead a preschool classroom, develop individualized plans and promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. You will ensure regulatory compliance, partner with families, and supervise assistants as needed.

You will report to the Center Director or Manager of Education & Inclusion, participating in professional development and maintaining a safe, inclusive learning environment for children and families.

Formación

• Associate degree in child development or early childhood education with coursework related to preschool teaching.
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with individuals and teams to provide high quality services to children and families.
• Ability to follow established directions, take initiative and maintain confidentiality.
• Must participate in professional development including basic first aid and pediatric CPR certification.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement individualized and group lesson plans for preschoolers.
• Ensure a safe, healthy and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
• Build relationships with children and families.
• Maintain accurate records and confidentiality.
• Plan and document observations, assessments and screenings with portfolios.
• Supervise and support classroom staff and volunteers.
• Engage with children throughout the day and ensure active supervision.
• Support management to align with Head Start Program Performance Standards.
