Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced procurement leader to drive xPL Procurement strategy and manage policy across product lines. You will guide bidding strategy, supplier engagement, and contract development with internal teams and national subcontractors.

The role requires extensive experience in construction procurement, strong leadership, and the ability to align procurement with project budgets and schedule. Travel is involved; health and financial benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; minimum 15 years in construction/procurement management.
• Experience developing and implementing procurement policies and procedures.
• Strong understanding of contract language, insurance, financial statements and analysis.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of procurement function in SAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of xPL Procurement department processes, practices, policies, and staff.
• Develop and implement bidding strategies for competitive bids and proposals with xPL Strategic Sourcing and Offsite teams and SourceBlue.
• Develop contracts incorporating company policies (Quality Control, Safety, Business Ethics) and ensure BPCC compliance.
• Manage supplier hiring requirements, insurance and bonding requirements for approved vendors.
• Create and maintain Supplier Management Program (SMP) with Turner's prequalification data and xPL criteria.
• Lead xPL Offsite Manufacturing and Strategic Sourcing procurement processes to coordinate purchases and supplier evaluation.
