Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced procurement leader to oversee purchasing and inventory management for the xPL manufacturing facility. You will lead a team of buyers and analysts, align material requirements with production demand, and drive continuous improvement across ERP-driven processes.

Responsibilities include sustaining material flow, supplier performance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve supply challenges while maintaining inventory accuracy

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree and 8+ years of related experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations, production scheduling, inventory management, and material planning.
• Understanding of purchasing policies, procurement processes, and supply chain operations.
• Experience leading purchasing or materials management teams.
• Strong ERP/MRP, inventory control, and production planning knowledge.
• Effective communication to influence cross-functional teams and resolve supply challenges.
• Demonstrated supervisory leadership and talent development.
• Excellent analytical thinking, judgment, and problem solving.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with high organization and attention to detail.
• Advanced spreadsheet skills; proficient in MS Office and collaboration tools.
• Limited travel willingness.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing and supplier management to support manufacturing operations.
• Oversee daily purchasing activities and ensure material availability for production.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, planning, engineering, and quality teams to meet demand.
• Monitor POs, supplier performance, shortages, and expediting needs.
• Maintain material availability visibility and communicate issues to leadership.
• Oversee PO lifecycle including creation, revisions, and closeout.
• Build strong supplier relationships to improve delivery and issue resolution.
• Support supplier transitions, contracts, and strategic sourcing with procurement teams.
• Coordinate with Finance to resolve invoice discrepancies and purchasing issues.
• Manage engineering changes and supplier implementations with cross-functional teams.
• Support resolution of supplier quality issues and monitor key metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement in purchasing processes and ERP usage.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and internal controls.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance feedback for direct reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
