Clay, an in-person first company with offices in SF, NY and London, is seeking a Workplace Experience Lead to elevate our HQ operations and culture. You will own 160,000 sq ft flagship New York HQ, manage facilities, vendor relationships, space planning and events, and partner with SF and London leads to scale while maintaining hospitality.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of workplace/facilities leadership for an office of 250+.
• Experience managing large-scale office moves.
• Facility ops for 100,000+ sq ft spaces.
• Strategic thinking for long-term space planning.
• Strong project management with attention to detail.
• Vendor and contract management experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Creative vision and innovation mindset.
• Nice to have: experience at a 500+ person company.

Responsibilities

• Own all workplace operations for Clay HQ, including facilities management, space planning, budgets, and long-term strategy.
• Lead NYC workplace team culture, set best practices, and mentor staff.
• Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, janitorial, security, access control, and building maintenance.
• Manage landlord and vendor relationships; negotiate contracts; ensure service excellence.
• Plan space utilization and moves for 250+ staff; coordinate future growth.
• Set office norms and standards; manage kitchen, pantry, meeting tech.
• Ensure health, safety, ADA compliance; lead emergency planning.
• Track metrics and drive data-driven improvements to the workplace experience.
