Abridge is seeking a Head of Workplace to own strategy, standards, and long-term vision for our physical workplaces across San Francisco, New York, Pittsburgh, and Chicago. This role requires hands-on facilities expertise, design judgment, and strong leadership to align senior stakeholders around major decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a multi-office workplace portfolio through growth or significant change.
• Hands-on background in facilities, building systems, construction, and vendor management.
• Track record delivering workplace projects with disciplined scope, budget, and schedule.
• Strong design judgment balancing aesthetics, accessibility, maintenance and cost.
• Experience building and mentoring teams with clear accountability.

Responsabilités

• Real Estate & Facilities Strategy: Own portfolio strategy, site selection, lease negotiations, renewals, and long-term capital needs.
• Evaluate infrastructure needs and long-term implications of real estate and investment decisions.
• Partner on building conditions, infrastructure priorities, and maintenance planning with budgets and timelines.
• Develop investment recommendations balancing employee experience, cost, flexibility, and reliability.
• Workplace Design & Delivery: Set vision and design standards for new offices and major investments within approved scope and budget.
• Lead project delivery with cross-functional partners from early planning through occupancy.
• Ensure permitting, safety, accessibility, and operational requirements are incorporated in planning.
• Manage scope, budgets, schedules, and changes with documented approvals.
• Team Leadership & Workplace Operations: Lead Facilities and Workplace Experience functions with clear ownership.
• Empower facilities manager and team with resources and senior stakeholder support.
• Own operating and capital budgets, vendor accountability, and service standards.
• Ensure workplace safety, emergency preparedness, and business continuity.
• Stakeholder & Executive Partnership: Build relationships with executives and cross-functional partners.
• Represent the Workplace team and secure clear decisions on space strategy and investments.
• Align stakeholders on standard, resources, and tradeoffs; establish framework for approvals.
