You will mentor a design team and collaborate with Product, Marketing, Analytics, and Engineering to run rapid experiments and improve the customer journey.

This role emphasizes data-informed design, accessibility, and staying ahead of evolving practices, including AI-enabled experiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of people management in a Web Experience Design role.
• Proven ecommerce, growth, conversion optimization experience.
• Deep UX and UI design expertise, accessibility and responsive design.
• Strong collaboration and ability to influence senior leaders.
• A portfolio is required to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision for Cengage’s web experience and UX/UI strategy.
• Lead and mentor a design team, elevating craft and impact.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Analytics, and Engineering to run experiments.
• Advance ecommerce and conversion experiences across the customer journey.
• Use data and qualitative research to prioritize opportunities.
• Foster a culture of continuous optimization and learning.
• Stay ahead of evolving design practices including AI-enabled experiences.
• Develop design leaders and nurture talent within the team.
