Job summary

Skydio in the United States is seeking a Manager, Solutions Engineering – Commercial, Utilities, to build and lead the Utilities Solutions Engineering team in a remote, full-time capacity, guiding technical discovery, solution design, and customer advocacy.

You will drive technical wins, own dock trials, coordinate with Sales and Product, and ensure successful deployments from pilot to fleet scale while maintaining a focus on utility industry needs and regulatory considerations.

Qualifications

• FAA Part 107 certificate or the ability to obtain one within 60 days.
• Ability to travel up to 50% for customer engagements, team field activities, and events.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs unaided.
• Demonstrated people leadership: hiring, coaching, performance management, and building team process.

Responsibilities

• Hire, develop, and retain a team of Utilities Solutions Engineers; own ramp, enablement, and career progression for the team.
• Set the standard for technical discovery and solution design across various utility inspection domains.
• Own team productivity, engagement, and growth; manage capacity and tradeoffs with Sales leadership.
• Represent Skydio at utility industry events, customer summits, and executive briefings.
