Job summary

ISU Research Park in Marshalltown, IA is seeking a Manager Technical Training responsible for leadership of training programs across operations, collaborating with stakeholders to implement strategies and improve processes to meet the needs of the business and communities.

You will oversee in‑house and external training, manage budget, ensure safety compliance, partner with union and regulatory bodies, and drive continuous improvement while supporting a culture of learning and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related area preferred.
• 5 years of experience in large electric construction, gas and electric operations, project management, or related work.
• 3 years supervisory experience or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Leadership of technical training with responsibilities for hiring and developing talent.
• Plan, coordinate, and direct training policies and schedules based on identified needs.
• Establish partnerships to build technical skill pipelines in communities.
• Manage resources and budget; drive process improvements and safety programs.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, DNR and other regulations; collaborate with union leadership.
