Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Senior Technical Account Manager Leader to guide a team of TAMs serving our SMB merchants. You will drive post-sale technical success, advise merchant developers, product teams, and business partners, and ensure scalable solutions across the deployment lifecycle.

You will coach, recruit, and align across Client Success, Product, Operations, and Merchant Care to deliver impactful outcomes while advocating for merchants internally and externally.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in a B2B customer-facing technical role
• Three+ years of people management experience
• Strong background in web development technologies and REST APIs with CS degree or engineering experience
• Able to quickly build rapport with engineering customers
• Excellent communicator, advocating for customers internally and externally
• Bonus: experience solving e-commerce or in-store retailer challenges

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing TAM team supporting SMB merchants
• Collaborate with Client Success to grow merchants and maximize product usage post-launch
• Set and track team OKRs with proactive action plans
• Forecast TAM demand and recruit as needed
• Evaluate new hires on technical capabilities and handle escalations
• Advocate for merchant priorities cross-functionally to ensure alignment
