Job summary

Summit Public Schools is seeking a Dean of Operations to lead non-instructional site operations for middle and high schools in the Bay Area. You will supervise attendance, nutrition, enrollment, facilities, health and safety, scheduling, records, testing, and transportation, while guiding compliance projects and a team of operations staff.

Qualifications

• Commitment to uphold Summit’s values and education mission.
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• Operations and/or prior school experience preferred.
• Experience in project and people management preferred.
• Experience with data or analysis preferred.
• Proficiency in Google Platforms (Drive/Sheets/Docs/Slides).
• Clear health and background check; CPR/First Aid certification optional.

Responsibilities

• Manage attendance systems and reporting to meet goals on both sites.
• Oversee recruitment, enrollment processes, lotteries, and registrations.
• Coordinate health, safety, and field trips; ensure compliance and drills.
• Oversee technology and facilities, inventory, repairs, and upgrades.
• Supervise meals program, nutrition services, and related compliance.
• Manage records, testing processes, and transcript handling.
• Assist design of master schedules and student scheduling.
• Coordinate transportation programs and field trip logistics.
• Serve on the school admin team and supervise operations staff.
