Job summary

Summit Public Schools is seeking a Dean of Operations to lead non-instructional site operations for Middle and High schools. You will manage attendance, enrollment, health and safety, facilities, meals, records, testing, scheduling, and transportation, reporting to Executive Directors.

The role emphasizes process improvement, relationship building with families and staff, and strong project management. A minimum Bachelor’s degree and prior school operations experience are preferred, with a

• Operations and/or prior school experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience in project and people management is strongly preferred.
• Experience with data or analysis is preferred.
• Proficiency in Google Platforms (Drive, Sheets, Docs, Slides).
• Valid CPR/First Aid certification.
• Clear health and background check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee attendance systems and reporting, ensure compliance and timely submissions.
• Lead recruitment, enrollment, lotteries, and re-enrollment activities.
• Manage health, safety, and nursing services, including drills and reporting incidents.
• Oversee technology, facilities maintenance, inventory, and coordinate repairs with landlords.
• Supervise meal programs and compliance with National School Lunch Program.
• Oversee records, transcripts, testing administration, and scheduling support.
• Design and maintain the school master schedule and student timetables.
• Coordinate daily transportation including buses and public transit, and trips.
• Lead and develop site operations team members and drive cross-site collaboration.
