Job summary

Summit Public Schools is seeking a Dean of Operations to ensure effective school-site operations for both Middle and High schools in Daly City, CA. You will lead attendance, nutrition, recruitment, facilities, and records, reporting to the Executive Directors.

The role requires a systems-oriented leader with people and project management experience, strong communication, and relation-building skills among staff, families, and students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is strongly preferred.
• Operations and/or prior school experience is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience with data or analysis is preferred.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace tools (Drive, Sheets, Docs, Slides).
• CPR/First Aid certification and clear health/background checks.

Responsibilities

• Manage attendance systems and collaborate with Executive Directors to meet attendance goals.
• Oversee recruitment and enrollment processes and ensure schools meet enrollment goals.
• Coordinate health and safety, including drills and safety inspections.
• Manage technology inventory and coordinate facilities maintenance and repairs.
• Oversee the child nutrition program and daily meal service.
• Oversee student records, testing and transcripts; manage data requests.
• Assist with school master schedule design and student scheduling.
• Coordinate daily transportation and field trip logistics.
• Lead and manage site operations team and participate in school admin leadership.
