Job summary

Summit Public Schools in Daly City, CA seeks a Dean of Operations to lead non-instructional site operations for both Middle and High schools. You will oversee attendance, nutrition, recruitment, facilities, health and safety, scheduling, records, testing, and transportation, while guiding an operations team.

The ideal candidate is a systems-oriented, collaborative leader with strong project management and communication skills, committed to Summit’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• Commitment to uphold Summit’s values and educational equity.
• Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred; operations experience valued.
• Prior project and people management experience.
• Experience with data or analysis is preferred.
• Proficiency with Google Platforms (Drive, Sheets, Docs, Slides).
• Valid CPR/First Aid certification and clear health/background checks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee attendance systems, compliance reporting, and truancy protocols.
• Lead recruitment, enrollment, lotteries, and re-enrollment efforts.
• Direct health and safety programs, drills, and nursing coordination.
• Manage technology and facilities inventories, repairs, and upgrades.
• Supervise meals program, nutrition compliance, and meal services.
• Oversee records, testing, transcripts, and data for state reporting.
• Assist scheduling, master timetables, and student scheduling.
• Coordinate transportation and field trip logistics; lead admin team.
• Provide leadership within the school admin team and other managers.
