Job summary

DIRECTV is seeking a remote Strategic Leader in Retention Strategy to steer the six-to-twelve month direction, coordinating across product lines to maintain consistent, differentiated market positioning.

You will build a test-and-learn framework, run cohort analyses, and own end-to-end initiatives from business case through post-launch performance, collaborating with Care and analytics teams. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or MBA in marketing, business, or related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive experience in retention strategy with leadership responsibility.
• Proven track record of leading go-to-market retention strategies with measurable outcomes.
• Deep understanding of business trends, competitive dynamics, and marketing methodologies.
• Strong expertise in campaign performance analytics and marketing measurement.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems with strategic solutions.
• Experience managing budgets and making financially sound investments.
• Experience building, mentoring, and developing marketing talent.
• Excellent executive communication and cross-functional influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Set and own the 6–12 month strategic direction for the retention strategy department.
• Direct comprehensive retention strategies across multiple product lines.
• Design and manage a robust test-and-learn framework for retention offers.
• Conduct advanced cohort analyses to tailor retention strategies to segments.
• Own the full lifecycle of retention initiatives from ideation to post-launch readouts.
• Build forecasting models to project impact and monitor churn reduction goals.
• Lead omnichannel retention initiatives across chat, digital, and live agent channels.
• Lead and develop a team of retention professionals with clear goals and coaching.
