ADVANTAGE BUICK GMC CADILLAC OF HODGKINS INC is seeking an experienced Used Car Director in Hodgkins, IL to lead the pre-owned vehicle department. You will be responsible for managing a large used inventory, meeting sales targets, and overseeing the certified pre-owned programs to maximize profitability.

The role emphasizes leadership, hands-on management, and accountability to build a high-performing team while ensuring compliance and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of Sales Manager experience in a car dealership.
• Strong knowledge of the pre-owned vehicle market and pricing in the Chicagoland area.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage a large pre-owned vehicle inventory.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly pre-owned vehicle sales objectives including certified pre-owned.
• Support Certified Manufacturer certified pre-owned programs.
• Achieve planned unit sales volume by balancing and representing used vehicle inventories.
• Responsible for appraising, reconditioning, displaying, wholesaling, and merchandising the product.
• Develop and meet gross profit per unit goals.
• Ensure proper usage of all software including pricing on the website, vAuto, KBB, and CARFAX.
• Maintain high picture quality and rapid time-to-market of digital representations by vendors/partners.
• Assist sales associates in setting and achieving goals.
• Maintain compliance with Federal and State laws affecting pre-owned vehicle sales.
• Monitor and maintain customer satisfaction and retention.
