Job summary

Haydon Healy is seeking a Director of Power Engineering to lead the technical strategy, design, and grid integration for large-scale hyperscale developments across the United States.

The role requires senior leadership, deep expertise in high-voltage infrastructure, and hands-on involvement in engineering design, due diligence and project execution. PE license preferred and data center experience valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Experience in high-voltage substations, transmission systems or utility-scale infrastructure.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Strong understanding of 138 kV, 230 kV and 345 kV interconnection processes.
• Experience delivering engineering solutions for data centers or utility-scale projects.
• Proficiency with power system modeling and analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design and delivery of high-voltage substations and transmission infrastructure.
• Oversee power system studies to establish grid integration requirements.
• Develop technical standards for medium- and high-voltage infrastructure.
• Define equipment specs and standards for on-site generation assets.
• Coordinate with utilities, ISOs/RTOs and EPCs on interconnection engineering.
