Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer for High-Performance Computing data centers in NYC. You will design critical power systems for fast-track hyperscale projects and lead electrical design teams across complex scopes.

The ideal candidate has 10–15+ years in electrical engineering, with data center power systems, UPS, generators, switchgear, and coordination with vendors, clients, and utilities. Excellent communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 10–15+ years in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with data center power systems and mission-critical projects.
• PE license is a plus.
• Experience with UPS, generators, switchgear and power distribution equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for data center projects across enterprise, colocation, crypto/HPC, and hyperscale environments.
• Coordinate electrical design efforts including distribution systems, topologies, and equipment sizing.
• Review drawings, specs, and calculations; manage interfaces with vendors and utilities.
• Lead and coordinate design teams and project execution from concept through construction.
• Ensure designs meet reliability, operating, and maintenance requirements.
