Job summary

BG Power Advisors is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for hyperscale data centers in a fast-paced environment. The role involves directing design teams, ensuring adherence to standards, and coordinating with owners and operators to meet project goals.

Experience in 40 MW+ data center projects, strong communication, and a PE license (or pursuit) are strongly preferred. This is a W-2 contract-to-hire role with potential conversion to full-time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• PE license preferred (or in active pursuit).
• 11+ years of related experience in electrical design.
• Experience on hyperscale data centers of 40 MW+ is required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and BIM; 3D modeling and Navisworks a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed electrical design for large-scale data center environments and mentor design teams.
• Evaluate design risks and how to build in backup power paths and fault tolerance.
• Prepare and review drawings and modeling for conformance with standards and client requirements.
• Perform detailed calculations and prepare engineering studies and reports.
• Conduct field surveys and assess existing facilities.
• Work with project teams to deliver on scope, budget and schedule.
• Coach and oversee junior engineers and designers and coordinate with data center owners/operators.
