Job summary

Submer - Datacenters That Make Sense seeks a Senior AI Data Center Electrical Engineer to lead design, implementation, and optimization of power infrastructure for HPC/AI data centers in a rapidly growing environment.

You will drive MV/LV distribution, coordinate with MEP teams, design for 99.999% uptime, and mentor engineers while incorporating NVIDIA GB300 and VR200 architectures into scalable, modular 1–2 MW pods and 50–300 MW sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field (PE preferred).
• 10+ years in electrical engineering for mission-critical facilities; at least 5 years in large-scale data centers.
• Experience designing HPC/AI data centers in the 100–300 MW range.
• Experience with modular data centers (1–2 MW units) aggregating to 50–300 MW.
• Expertise with NVIDIA GB300 and VR200 reference architectures, including power delivery and BESS.
• Strong knowledge of MV/LV switchgear, busways, PDUs, UPS, generators, harmonic mitigation.
• Experience with ETAP, SKM and commissioning processes.
• Strong communication and leadership in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, lead, and optimize MV and LV electrical distribution for HPC/AI data centers.
• Lead power architecture for GB300 and VR200 deployments, addressing high-density rack power.
• Develop and implement BESS, UPS, generators, and backup power for 99.999% uptime.
• Architect modular data center solutions (1–2 MW) scaling to 50–300 MW sites.
• Perform power system studies (short circuit, arc flash, load flow, harmonics).
• Collaborate with MEP teams on 480V AC and 800V DC architectures and overhead busways.
• Create single-line power flow diagrams and justify design decisions to customers.
