Job summary

Day & Zimmermann is seeking a Piping Engineering Department Manager to lead a team of piping engineers and designers in delivering innovative piping system solutions for complex EPCm projects in the chemical process industries.

You will oversee technical quality, regulatory compliance, and resource deployment while driving continuous improvement and staff development in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of EPCm/chemical process industry experience required.
• 3+ years in secondary industries such as Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, or Advanced Manufacturing favored.
• Experience with 3D modeling and Autodesk Plant 3D is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and management of the piping engineering department across all project stages.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet stringent technical standards and client expectations.
• Plan and implement efficient resource management to maximize staffing and project success.
• Lead proactive talent development and training within the team.
• Supervise performance management and compensation processes to support retention and engagement.
• Manage department budgets and project timelines with vigilant cost control and schedule adherence.
