Day & Zimmermann Company in Greenville, SC, seeks a Piping Engineering Department Manager to lead a team of piping engineers and designers, directing strategy and execution across EPCm projects in the chemical process industries.

You will ensure engineering quality, regulatory compliance, and effective resource management within budgets and schedules, while fostering innovation and professional development to deliver high-value piping solutions.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in EPCm or chemical process industries.
• Experience in secondary industries (Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, Advanced Manufacturing) preferred.
• 3+ years hands-on 3D modeling with Autodesk Plant 3D and laser scanning familiarity.
• Caesar II pipe stress analysis desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic leadership and management of the piping engineering department.
• Ensure all deliverables meet technical standards, policies, and client expectations.
• Plan resource management to optimize staffing and workload distribution.
• Develop talent through training and performance management.
• Manage budgets and project timelines with cost control and schedule adherence.
• Deliver high-quality piping solutions across project stages.
