Day & Zimmermann Company in Greenville, SC is seeking a Piping Engineer 4 to lead complex piping design, analysis, and development on high-impact projects. You will apply advanced piping stress analysis, support design, and ANSI/ASME/API standards to deliver reliable, safe systems and drive project success.

You will mentor junior engineers, review calculations and layouts, and collaborate with discipline leads to optimize layouts, nozzle loads, and anchor placements.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional piping engineering experience.
• 8+ years using 3D CAD/BIM tools (AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Revit, Navisworks).
• 5+ years using piping stress analysis software (Caesar II or equivalent).
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with discipline lead to deliver piping design outputs and ANSI-aligned specifications.
• Design pressure piping systems for new and upgraded installations.
• Conduct piping stress analyses, calculations, and safety evaluations.
• Lead conceptual studies including cost estimating and layout optimization.
• Supervise vendor packages for nozzle loads and anchor placements.
• Mentor junior engineers by reviewing calculations and layouts.
• Contribute to cross-functional teams to resolve constructability issues.
