Job summary

Wwshemi is seeking an experienced Head of Operations to lead day-to-day operations at an early-stage AI company serving manufacturers. You will partner with founders to optimize customer delivery and scale supplier and freight workflows.

In this role, you will recruit and manage the operations team, design scalable processes, and drive metrics to improve service quality. A strong background in supply chain and startup environments is essential.

Qualifications

Lead day-to-day operations at an early-stage AI company serving manufacturers. You will work closely with the founders to improve customer delivery and build the supplier and freight operations that support the business as it grows.

What You'll Do

• Own customer onboarding, order execution, supplier and carrier coordination, and issue resolution.
• Build the processes, metrics, and playbooks that help a lean team serve more manufacturers.
• Partner with engineering to identify operational workflows for AI automation.
• Manage supplier and freight operations, vendor relationships, and service quality.
• Hire and lead the operations team as the company grows.
• Work with the founders on planning, finance, and company priorities.

What We're Looking For

• Six to ten years of experience, including senior operations leadership as a Head of Operations, COO, VP or Director of Operations, or in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience at an early-stage startup or on a small team, with the ability to build processes from the ground up and stay hands-on.
• Strong quantitative, systems, and process-design skills.
• Experience in CPG, food, supplements, cosmetics, chemicals, freight brokerage, or 3PL operations is beneficial, as is experience as a founder or early startup employee.

Location

On-site in San Francisco, California, five days per week. Relocation within the United States is supported.
