Job summary

Success Matcher Recruitment partners with a fast-growing company to hire a Founding Strategy & Operations Generalist who will work directly with the CEO and own key strategic priorities. This high-impact role starts by scaling recruiting and hiring, then expands into business operations, pricing, finance, sales strategy, and AI-powered automation.

You will build processes from scratch, structure ambiguous problems, and drive them through execution with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of professional experience.
• Background in management consulting, investment banking/private equity, or strategy & operations at a venture-backed startup.
• Exceptional analytical and structured problem-solving ability.
• Comfortable operating with ambiguity and limited structure.
• Hands-on experience building AI workflows, automations, or agents.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High-agency mindset with the ability to work independently.
• Willingness to take on responsibilities beyond a narrowly defined job description.
• Ability to work onsite in San Francisco 4 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve recruiting processes, candidate pipelines, and hiring workflows.
• Own cross-functional business operations including contracts, billing, accounting coordination, insurance, and administrative processes.
• Support strategic initiatives across pricing, revenue opportunities, finance, sales strategy, and company operations.
• Build AI tools, agents, automations, and workflows that reduce manual work.
• Take ambiguous problems, structure them, develop solutions, and drive them through execution.
• Partner closely with senior leadership across recruiting, operations, finance, sales and strategy.
• Help build processes and systems that enable the company to scale.

About the Opportunity

We're partnering with a fast-growing company looking for a Founding Strategy & Operations Generalist to work directly with the CEO and take ownership of some of the company's most important strategic and operational priorities.
This is a high-impact generalist role for someone who enjoys solving ambiguous problems, moving quickly, and building processes from scratch. You'll initially help scale recruiting and hiring, then expand into business operations, pricing, finance, sales strategy, and AI-powered internal automation.You'll have significant visibility with senior leadership and the opportunity to make an immediate impact as the company continues to scale.

What You'll Do

Nice to Have

• Quantitative degree in Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field
• MBB consulting experience
• Investment banking or private equity experience at a leading firm
• Strategy & Operations experience at a high-growth Series A-D startup
• Experience working directly with founders
• Recruiting or talent strategy experience
• Experience with pricing models or financial analysis
• Experience building AI agents using APIs, workflow tools, no-code platforms, or LLM frameworks
• Interest in eventually becoming a Chief of Staff, Founder's Associate, or startup operator
