Job summary

Guardian Life Insurance Company of America is seeking a Head of Operational Excellence and Enablement to drive strategic initiatives across the Group Benefits Underwriting organization. You will optimize learning, QA programs, underwriting tools, data metrics, and capacity while ensuring readiness for new ways of working.

This role focuses on embedding best practices, enabling accurate decision-making, and cultivating continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or related field is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in underwriting, operations management, or related field.
• Proven experience leading operational transformation and large-scale process improvement.
• Strong background in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead Operational Excellence & Enablement across the underwriting organization.
• Drive learning, quality assurance programs, underwriting tools, data, and metrics.
• Establish KPIs to measure operational success and decision quality.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to implement technology solutions and process changes.
• Own organizational readiness for underwriting process, technology, and capability changes.
