Job summary

Selective Insurance, a leading US property and casualty insurer, is seeking a Senior Leader to own the enterprise learning and enablement function for underwriting. The role oversees onboarding, trainee, technical, and change-related learning, leveraging data to close skill gaps and improve business results.

You will partner with LOB Technical teams, drive standardized practices across regions, and lead a team of trainers to deliver scalable, pedagogically sound experiences that align with

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in learning and development within insurance or financial services and knowledge of underwriting operations is preferred.
• 10+ years in corporate learning, training, instructional design, or talent development in P&C insurance or financial services preferred.
• CPCU, AU, CPLP, or other related designations are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise learning architecture for underwriting across lines of business and career levels.
• Determine delivery methods using adult learning theory; deploy AI-enabled content, simulations, eLearning, and traditional sessions.
• Identify knowledge gaps using performance data and translate insights into targeted interventions.
• Design and measure training effectiveness with metrics tied to underwriting quality and profitability.
• Lead regional standardization and influence to harmonize enterprise learning practices.
