Job summary

National Life Group seeks a Manager of Operational Analytics to lead a team delivering insights for Service and Operations leaders. You will turn complex data into practical recommendations and develop analysts into trusted partners across the organization.

You will guide dashboards, forecasting tools, and self-service analytics while advancing responsible AI and data visualization practices in a collaborative, service-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years related experience or advanced degree with 5+ years, or 12+ years total.
• Experience in operational analytics, business intelligence, data analytics, decision support, or related discipline.
• Proven success leading, coaching, and developing employees.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights and leadership-ready communications.
• Experience managing competing priorities and allocating resources based on value, urgency, effort, risk, and alignment.
• Proficiency with Excel and data-analysis/visualization tools.
• Knowledge of data sources, database structures, data quality concepts, and validation practices.
• Strong analytical reasoning, communication, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use approved AI-enabled tools responsibly and maintain accountability for work products.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of analytics professionals with clear performance expectations.
• Partner with Service and Operations leaders to frame analytical questions and recommendations.
• Guide dashboards, reporting, forecasting tools, analyses, and self-service solutions.
• Move beyond reporting to identify trends and actionable recommendations.
• Own intake and prioritization of analytics requests balancing short- and long-term work.
• Establish standards for analytical quality, data validation, and interpretation.
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring activities and apply AI-enabled tools responsibly.
• Communicate priorities, findings, and tradeoffs to technical and leadership audiences.
• Apply sound judgment to complex, ambiguous challenges and set short-term priorities.
• Create an inclusive, collaborative team environment aligned with company values.
