Job summary

New York Life Insurance Co. is seeking a Senior Data Analytics & Insights leader to guide data-driven initiatives that inform strategy and improve performance across functions.

The role partners with Digital Services, Service Operations, Technology, and business stakeholders to design analytics strategies, develop dashboards, and translate complex data into actionable recommendations for executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, data science, data engineering, or related fields.
• 3+ years of people leadership and/or team management experience.
• Demonstrated experience analyzing large and complex data sets to solve business problems and drive measurable outcomes.
• Strong expertise in data analysis and statistical modeling techniques, including Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Generalized Linear Models (GLM), Survival Analysis, Decision Trees, Cluster Analysis, Principal Components Analysis, Feature Engineering and Model Validation.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic analytics leadership to socialize insights and drive enterprise opportunities.
• Partner with Digital Services, Service Operations, Product Management, and executive leadership to identify opportunities and support decision-making.
• Develop and evolve analytics strategy and present executive-level recommendations.
• Drive adoption of data-driven decision making through stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
• Lead design and execution of quantitative and qualitative analyses to solve complex business challenges.
• Translate technical findings into concise insights for stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to monitor performance.
