Job summary

Great American Insurance Group seeks a Business Intelligence Manager to lead a data analytics team, define the analytics roadmap, and deliver dashboards, models, and AI-enabled solutions that drive client value and operational efficiency.

You will partner with senior leaders, oversee data sources and governance, and coach a small group of data experts while promoting data literacy across the division. This is an on-site role with some remote flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in data/analytics field
• 7+ years of related experience in analytics, data science, or reporting
• 4+ years of leading analytics, reporting, or data science delivery with people management
• Proven ability to translate business strategy into analytics roadmaps and outcomes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to define success metrics
• Hands-on with data practices (sourcing, quality, modeling, governance) and SQL, modeling language
• Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) and communicating insights to leaders
• Willingness to travel up to 15%

Responsibilities

• Leads the data analytics team in prioritizing and delivering analytics initiatives
• Sets vision, roadmap, and delivery priorities aligned with divisions
• Oversees data sources, tools, and capabilities improvements
• Designs and deploys analytics products, dashboards, predictive models, and AI-enabled solutions
• Collaborates with shared services and vendors for integrated solutions
• Communicates results to leadership with clear narratives and visuals
• Monitors model performance and data quality; escalates risks
• Coaches a small group of data experts and supports career growth
• Champions data literacy and drives adoption of analytics in daily workflows
• Performs other duties as assigned
