Job summary

National Life Group seeks a Manager, Operational Analytics to lead a team of analytics professionals, turning data into clear insights and practical recommendations for Service and Operations leaders.

You will guide analysts, advance AI-enabled analytics, and partner with leadership to align work with business value. The role currently offers an onsite schedule with core days Monday–Thursday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and eight or more years of related experience; advanced degree and five+ years; or twelve+ years total education/experience.
• Experience in operational analytics, business intelligence, data analytics, decision support, or related discipline.
• Demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing employees.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights and leadership-ready communications.
• Experience managing competing priorities and allocating resources based on value, urgency, effort, risk and alignment.
• Proficiency with Excel and data-analytic or visualization tools.
• Knowledge of data sources, database structures, data-quality concepts, and validation practices.
• Strong analytical reasoning and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to use approved AI-enabled tools responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of analytics professionals with clear expectations and growth.
• Partner with Service and Operations leaders to frame questions and recommend approaches.
• Deliver dashboards, reporting, forecasting tools, investigations and self-service solutions.
• Move beyond reporting by identifying trends and actionable recommendations.
• Own analytics intake and prioritize requests balancing immediate needs and long-term initiatives.
• Set standards for analytical quality, data validation, and interpretation.
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring tasks and use AI responsibly.
• Communicate priorities and findings to technical, operational, and leadership audiences.
• Apply sound judgment to complex, ambiguous challenges and set short-term priorities.
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative team environment aligned with company values.
