Job summary

National Life Group is seeking an Investment Analytics Analyst to support the Office of the CIO, covering asset allocation, risk management, credit surveillance, and competitive intelligence using modern data and AI tooling.

You will help frame portfolio positioning, provide transparent reporting, and ensure alignment with the life insurance general account’s strategic objectives, applying rigorous analytics and collaborative problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Degree in Financial Engineering, Data Science, or Computer Science.
• Experience in financial analytics or quantitative development is a plus.
• Python and SQL are core requirements.
• Proficiency with Excel and a BI tool required.
• Experience using LLMs to accelerate analysis and build internal tooling.
• Exposure to cloud data platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the Office of the CIO in bringing transparency to investment strategies across the general account.
• Build and maintain analytical tools, monitors, and dashboards for senior decision-makers.
• Automate recurring workflows — risk reporting and exposure aggregation.
• Support investment, risk, and operations teams in AI-enabled problem solving.
• Apply software engineering practices to ensure durable, shareable tooling.
