Job summary

Pacific Life Insurance Company is seeking a Director of Data Analytics to lead the Operations Analytics function across multiple teams and to partner with key leaders. You will define the strategy, build dashboards, and drive governance to deliver measurable outcomes.

You will oversee senior contributors, align analytics with business priorities, and partner with Technology, Finance, Risk, and Operations to improve customer experience and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, Economics, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, operational analytics, or related analytical disciplines.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing analytics teams, including subordinate managers or senior ICs.
• Experience setting analytics strategy, roadmaps, governance practices, and execution priorities.
• Experience owning analytics delivery for multiple functions or enterprise initiatives within a complex org.
• Strong knowledge of data visualization/BI tools (Power BI, Tableau or similar).
• Experience with SQL, data modeling concepts, metric definitions, and reporting governance.
• Ability to influence executive stakeholders and communicate analytical findings clearly.
• Strong stakeholder management, prioritization, resource planning, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategy, vision, and operating roadmap for Operations Data Analytics across related teams and stakeholders.
• Develop and execute 12–18 month analytics plans with priorities, delivery commitments, and governance.
• Translate long-term strategy into practical analytics capabilities and reporting standards.
• Provide input into enterprise data standards and analytics operating models.
