Job summary

Rush Enterprises, Inc. seeks a Director of Operations - Mobile Service to develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy for a mobile service business unit. The role includes P&L responsibility, organizational design, and deploying systems to achieve objectives.

The leader will define KPIs, manage performance, and collaborate with field leaders and mobile technicians to reach targets through strong recruiting and development. The company emphasizes growth, rewards, and industry leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience in commercial vehicle parts and service or related industry.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Outstanding collaborator and influence.
• Capable coach of others.
• Skilled at building processes and achieving change management.

Responsibilities

• Develop 5-year comprehensive strategic roadmap for Mobile Service.
• Propose and obtain approval of optimal field organizational structure and associated timeline to support objectives.
• Work with Accounting and SAP teams to develop accounting segmentation to track KPI's, including fiscal performance and sales growth.
• Work with RushCare to develop a centralized contact center for Mobile Service customers.
• Implement scheduling software to optimize asset and personnel utilization.
• Develop and deploy methodology for nationwide parts fulfilment to Mobile Techs.
• Develop Technician recruiting and retention strategies to grow Mobile Tech count and maximize market reach.
• Standardize asset selection and deployment process to maximize utilization and minimize operating cost.
• Scout for potential acquisition targets, and execute integration of completed acquisitions.
• Provide leadership to Regional General Managers and field personnel to ensure operational execution and financial performance within our Mobile Service business segment.
