Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital is seeking a Director of Medical Staff Services to lead the medical services office and serve as the primary liaison with the Credential Processing Center. You will ensure compliance with Medical Staff bylaws, regulations, and accreditation standards while supporting physician orientation and credentialing programs.

You will oversee confidential records, optimize schedules and meetings, and guide the hospital through regulatory requirements to maintain

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university.
• CPMSM and/or CPCS certification preferred.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a medical staff office.
• Knowledge of State, Federal, and JCAHO regulations.
• Healthcare credentialing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission accreditation process and standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of medical staff committee records (credentials files, meeting minutes).
• Oversee administrative schedules and medical staff meetings; assist with Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations compliance.
• Ensure MSO and credentialing program comply with Medical Staff standards and accrediting bodies.
• Interpret and follow regulatory guidelines including bylaws, fair hearing plan, rules, and policies.
• Oversee development and evaluation of the physician orientation program.
