Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Director of Medical Staff Services to lead the medical services office, coordinate credentialing with CPC, and serve as the hospital liaison on process improvements. This role drives compliance with standards and supports patient care through strong MSO leadership.

The Director will oversee schedules, meetings, and orientation programs while ensuring confidentiality and adherence to bylaws and regulatory guidelines across state

Qualifications

• Three to five years’ experience in a medical staff office.
• Knowledge of State, Federal, and JCAHO regulations.
• Previous credentialing and management experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Working knowledge of The Joint Commission accreditation process and standards, regulatory and legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure confidentiality of medical staff committee records (credentials files, meeting minutes).
• Oversee administrative schedules and medical staff meetings; assist medical staff officers with bylaws, rules and regulations.
• Ensure MSO and credentialing program comply with standards and accrediting agencies.
• Interpret and follow regulatory guidelines, bylaws, fair hearing plan, rules and policies.
• Oversee development and evaluation of the new physician orientation program.
