Job summary

Ethos Risk Services is seeking a full-time Director of Learning and Development to scale our company-wide learning function. This remote U.S.-based role partners with executives to design training strategies, implement innovative learning technologies, and leverage AI to improve employee performance across our 1,400-person workforce.

You will build competency frameworks, oversee onboarding and role-based training, manage LMS vendors, and measure impact with analytics, while leading a growing L&D

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Learning & Development or related field with 3+ years in leadership.
• Proven track record building or scaling L&D functions, with budgeting and vendor management.
• Experience designing competency frameworks and role-based training.
• Experience selecting or managing an LMS and leveraging AI in training.
• Ability to influence executive leadership and collaborate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a company-wide L&D strategy aligned with business goals.
• Oversee onboarding, employee development, and role-specific programs.
• Build competency frameworks and learning pathways for key roles.
• Partner with executives to identify capability gaps and invest in training.
• Lead LMS selection, implementation, and optimization with AI-enabled options.
• Govern training content quality and maintenance across departments.
• Measure impact with analytics and demonstrate improvements in performance.
• Lead and grow the L&D team, manage budgets and vendor relationships.
• Support growth through post-merger integration of training programs.
