Job summary

LAC Federal in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Librarian and Information Resources Manager to lead library services for a regulatory-focused government library. You will supervise the library team, optimize cataloging and subscriptions, manage budgets, and coordinate with procurement and finance to maximize value from data resources.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Library Science or related field, or BA with relevant experience.
• Minimum 5+ years in librarian or information resource management roles.
• Experience in program leadership and staff supervision.
• Experience with advanced Library Services Platforms.
• Familiarity with MARC, RDA, AACR2, and LC Classification.
• Strong SharePoint and collaboration workspace experience.
• Experience managing budgets and financial reporting.
• Advanced research tools: CapIQ/Compustat, LexisNexis, Westlaw.

Responsibilities

• Strategic leadership for information resources and library services aligned with agency goals.
• Oversee electronic data, online services, print resources; ensure user needs.
• Supervise library team delivering high-quality information services.
• Manage cataloging, circulation, serials, acquisitions, reporting, ERM, OPAC.
• Budget and vendor oversight, renewals, and contract negotiations.
• Ensure information governance and compliance; develop related policies.
• Engage stakeholders, train staff, and serve as information SME.
• Lead complex research and present decision-ready information.
